CREATING IMPACT FOR MARINE CONSERVATION

you protect what you love

We open the world of ocean exploration across the Western Indian Ocean and beyond. Built on more than 25 years of regional expertise, our expeditions demonstrate how meaningful exploration can create lasting conservation impact. We believe people protect what they love. By creating opportunities for discovery, learning, and connection, we help transform curiosity into understanding, and understanding into stewardship.

  • "A massively varied itinerary with out-of-the-ordinary adventures that felt very personal. From whaleshark encounters on Chole Mjini to fly fishing in the Aberdares and freediving in Zanzibar, they delivered a truly personalized and unique East African adventure."

“Diving with the dolphins in Kisite was probably one of the best days of my life. Having them stay with us for the entire dive was the most magical experience. Diving everyday just made me feel so alive!!! I genuinely had the best 2 weeks ever- so special to share it with Dad and also to meet Julie and Claire and Kristy who are all so lovely. I am sad and cold in England and cannot stop thinking about Kenya.”

    Ellie Lewis

  • "We had a wonderful time in Watamu curated by Seas4Life, their touch enabled our family to have a unique glimpse of the wildlife in the sea. We felt in great hands and at home! Highly recommend this experience."

“From the very first inquiry to the moment we sadly flew home, the whole Seas4life adventure in Kenya has been the most magical, memorable and rewarding experience imaginable. My daughter and I cannot thank Julie and her team enough for perfectly tailoring our requests and expectations. Thank you, we cannot wait to come back again!”

  • "Pemba Island was idyllic, the land excursions were an excellent addition, and the water’s colors were spectacular. The whole group worked diligently to anticipate our every need! Jigar was an ideal guide who shared his passion and enthusiasm for the area."

    Diane

  • "Paddleboarding was a favorite experience, and the students loved visiting the rescue shelter for turtles. The environment at Watamu Beach was excellent and the customer service was superb - Kristy was on call at all times!"

Daniel with the Harvard University Group

  • "We absolutely loved the passionate guiding and original experiences, like snorkeling in the kelp forest. The team showed great flexibility and effort to move things around due to weather. It was a truly magical trip!"

“Our trip to Watamu this summer was one of the best experiences of our life as a family! Everything we did from swimming with hawksbill turtles to supporting the work of local conservationists to snorkeling around the stunning coral reefs fed our hearts, minds and souls. The second we got on the plane, we started planning for our return! It was amazing to have Julie’s expertise and Kristy’s incredible planning skills, without which this trip would not have been the same. We got to meet and connect with the local community, have the insider’s scoop on everything that was going on around the beaches and understand better what conservation is all about. We all came back changed people - me, my husband and our two daughters, 7 and 12!”

“I and my boys, Sebastian and Benjamin, had the best safari with Julie and Cat on the Ocean Discovery Safari in the Lamu Kiwayu area, Kenya. It was an extraordinary and wonderful experience. We fell in love with the sea. We loved learning about mangroves, seagrass beds, coral reefs, rocky shores, beaches and open oceans. We snorkeled, fished, swam, surfed, sand surfed, kayaked and my boys learnt to waterski and wakeboard. We absolutely loved our night swim with the phosphoresce. A glorious experience and we are planning our next safari with Julie and Seas4life.”

First I spent a month in Tanzania, on Mafia Island, interning at an eco-tourism business Kitu Kiblu there I trained to be a whale shark guide. swimming with whale sharks every day! as well a daily lesson in whale shark biology, fish biology and free diving, we also worked on whale shark ID using their unique spot pattern. All amazing knowledge and key skills for the marine conservation world. The experience was one of the best experiences of my life and Julie and the seas4life team where there to support me the whole way."
